John’s exhortations to the early church in 1, 2, and 3 John address challenges still faced by Christians today. Duane Warden’s intricate study offers practical guidance for interpreting the apostle’s letters and applying them to daily life. Like the Gospel of John, these epistles maintain that the remedy for sin was introduced to humanity when God sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. John rebuked those living in sin, encouraged his readers to “walk in the Light,” and assured Christians that they can know God. He also wrote to warn the church of false teachers.
